Indian Student Association to mark
traditional Diwali on campus Saturday

The Texas State Indian Student Association is putting on its annual Diwali festival Saturday from 6-9 p.m. at the Alkek Teaching Theater.

Also called the Festival of Lights, Diwali marks the triumph of good over evil, of light over darkness, in the Indian culture. The association invites the entire campus to the event, which will feature Indian dancing and entertainment as well as Indian food.

There is no admission charge. Here are some video highlights from last year’s event:
