Campus radio station KTSW
in running for mtvU Woodie Award
KTSW, the Texas State radio station, has made it to the finals of the mtvU Woodie Awards competition for college radio.
The station, which is owned by the university and operated by students, was voted into the finals from a field of 25 nominees. Voting for the award continues online until March 1.
The Woodie Awards are sponsored by mtvU, the MTV Networks’ college channel. The prize for the best college radio station is presented to one that is “breaking the latest, emerging music and acting as pioneers in the industry,” according to the contest website.
The winner will be announced March 16 at the 2011 Woodie Awards, which will be broadcast on the MTV Networks from Austin during South By Southwest.
