Instead of fearing the unknown about coming to college, freshmen can become acquainted with their peers and get ahead of the game when it comes to learning about being a Bobcat. Year after year, Texas State University shines when its brightest alumni, faculty, staff, students and members of the public join in the tradition of Homecoming.

Starting the fourth week in October, Texas State will fire up a slate of Homecoming events including tailgating, Powderpuff Football, the annual Soap Box Derby and more, showcasing the ferocity of the Bobcats who keep the traditions alive. It all leads up to the Homecoming football game Oct. 29.

Previous Trade Up Days on the Quad

Exchange your old school garb for a free, fresh Texas State tee at Trade Up Day.

Bring a shirt from another university, college or high school and trade up to a Texas State shirt.

Members of the Texas State Alumni Student Chapter will be on the Quad at the San Marcos campus Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. or until they run out of T-shirts. The Student Alumni Chapter will also collect donations for the Lighting the Way campaign to replace the victory star on top of Jackson Hall.

The Texas State Alumni Association Student Alumni Chapter works to build pride and traditions on campus. Student member benefits include alumni networking opportunities and discounts at local business. Email alumni@txstatealumni.org for more information or visit the Alumni Association website.
