Texas State Faces: Roly Rolon

Texas State graduate in running for title
of hardest-working person in USA

Lawrence “Roly” Rolon has five careers, and he loves them all.

The 1979 graduate, who lives in Austin, hauls trash, makes art from trash, is an actor, does silk-screening and has a lawn-care business, all detailed in the two-minute video.

He’s one of the finalists in a national contest sponsored by Mitchum called the “Hardest Working Person in America.” It features people from all walks of life, including a drill sergeant, a camp director and a blacksmith.

Texas State graduates Linsday Braun and Marty Butler were among the folks who worked on Rolon’s video.
