Members of the Texas State University Chorale suggest you 'Show 'em State' and 'Eat 'em Up, Cats.'

Texas State Chorale to sing
at national directors’ convention

The Texas State University Chorale has been invited to perform at the American Choral Directors Association convention this spring in Chicago.

The 30-students choir will sing March 10 with Maestro Helmut Rilling. The conference brings together choral directors who represent more than 1 million singers across the United States. ACDA members teach choral music in public and private schools – kindergarten through senior high school – and at the college and university levels.

The Texas State University Chorale has performed for state, national and international audiences. The membership of chorale is comprised of outstanding musicians throughout the campus from various disciplines. A select chamber ensemble is chosen by audition from the entire student body.

The chorale is directed by Joey M. Martin, who is a professor of music and serves as associate director for the School of Music and director of choral activities.
