1961 graduate coordinated advertising for one of world’s largest companies
Daymon Muehl, who is being honored this year as a distinguished alumnus, went to work for the Humble Oil and Refining Co. – now ExxonMobil – after graduating from the university, and he worked his way to the top.
In 1984, the member of the class of 1961 was named national advertising coordinator for the company at its Houston headquarters.
Since his retirement, he’s become an active participant at his alma mater, including working with the two organizations of students in the McCoy College of Business Administration: the Students in Free Enterprise and American Advertising Federation competition teams.
In addition, he was honored by the business honor fraternity on campus, and Room 224 of McCoy Hall is named for Muehl and his wife, Patricia.
