Texas State Updates: November Power Outages

Electrical outages planned during maintenance work on campus

During the month of November, the Facilities Department will be performing preventative maintenance work on the electrical feeders. This maintenance work will require electrical outages to various buildings. The Facilities Department apologizes for any inconveniences these electrical outages may cause to the building occupants.

Below are the dates and times specific buildings will be affected by an electrical outage.

Monday, Nov. 1
A 3-second outage will occur between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. in each of these buildings: Alumni House, Beretta, Brazos, Brogdon, Butler, Commons, Elliot, Falls, Jones, Lantana, Laurel, McCoy, Nueces, Retama, San Jacinto, Sterry, Theatre Center and The Tower.

Friday, Nov. 5
Jones Dining will have a 2-hour outage from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m.
Commons Cafeteria and Brazos Hall will have a 3-hour outage from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. Saturday.

Saturday, Nov. 6
Beretta, Brogdon and Falls Halls will have a 2-hour outage from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m.

Sunday, Nov. 7
Butler, Elliot and Laurel Halls will have a 2-hour outage from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m.

Saturday, Nov. 13
Lantana, San Jacinto and Sterry Halls will have a 2-hour outage form 1 a.m. to 3 a.m.

Sunday, Nov. 14
Retama and The Tower Halls will have a 2-hour outage from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 24
McCoy Business, Nueces, San Jacinto Hall and Woods Street Parking Garage will have a 3-second outage to return the feeder loads to their normal positions between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m.
