Happenings: Video Contest

Bobcat Tube Video Contest entries
must be submitted by Sunday

The deadline is rapidly approaching for the Bobcat Tube Video Contest for 2010.

Videos with the theme “Texas State’s Got Talent” must be uploaded to YouTube and the link sent to socialnet@txstate.edu by midnight Sunday. Everyone in the university community is eligible to participate.

Full information for entering is available at the contest website.

Honorable mention and finalist videos will be shown and the winner will be announced at the Bobcat Tube Film Festival, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. on the 11th floor of J.C. Kellam. The winner will receive an iPod Touch, runner-up an iPod Nano and third place an iPod Shuffle.

One videographer also will receive the Golden Bobcat Award as the fan favorite at the film festival.

In addition to the videos, the festival will feature door prizes and trivia contests. The first 50 people through the door will receive a commemorative T-shirt as well.

Requirements for the video entries are simple: They must be less than five minutes long, have an image of a star at some point and be shot at either the campus in San Marcos or the Round Rock Higher Education Center.
