Texas State Updates: Android App

Texas State launches
app for Android devices

Android users now can have access to Texas State University-San Marcos anywhere in the world.

The all-new version of Texas State Mobile designed for the popular mobile operating system is now available on the university’s website.

The app’s format provides frequent updates and easy-to-access content, including news and announcements from the university and posts from the Texas State Blog.

It is available for download at the Office of University Marketing website. It will be available at the Android Market in the future.

The app works like a mobile website, with easy-access buttons for exploring content from throughout the university community. Features include updates of Texas State news and athletics, as well as a live feed of campus radio station KTSW and campus news from the University Star.

The app also incorporates the campus directory, which can be searched for students, former students, faculty and staff by anyone with a Texas State Net ID, and bird’s-eye-view campus maps. Library resources, dining hall information and personal class schedules are available, as well as links to Texas State social media outlets.
