Texas State Updates: Bobcats in Baseball

Two former Bobcats make
pro baseball debuts

Third baseman Kyle Kubitza and pitcher Joe Dvorsky, both selected in the Major League Baseball draft earlier this month, have launched their pro careers in different corners of the country.

Kubitza joined the Danville (Ga.) Braves in the Rookie-level Appalachian League on June 21, and he has appeared in seven games for the Atlanta Braves’ affiliate. He was the organization’s third-round draft selection.

Dvorsky made his debut a day later, pitching an inning for the Great Falls (Mont.) Voyagers in the Rookie-level Pioneer League. He was the 35th-round pick of the Chicago White Sox.
