Texas State Updates: PAC Construction Closures

Performing Arts Center construction
to cause street closures on campus

The Office of Facilities, Planning, Design and Construction at Texas State University will begin the installation of the construction fence for the Performing Arts Complex Phase I on July 6, 2011, at 8 a.m.

Edward Gary Street will be closed from University Dr. to Woods St. Woods St., from Moon St. to N. LBJ St., will continue to be one-way to the west.

The west sidewalk on Moon St., from University Dr. to Concho Green, will be closed. The west and east sidewalks on Edward Gary St. from University Dr. to Woods St. will be closed. The east sidewalk on N. LBJ St. from the Alumni House to the south face of Sterry Hall will be closed.

During the week of August 8, 2011, the north sidewalk along University Dr. between Moon St. and N. LBJ will be temporarily closed during the demolition of the brick wall. The sidewalk will be closed in two phases each lasting approximately one full day. The brick wall demolition west of Edward Gary is Phase 1, and the brick wall demotion east of Edward Gary will be Phase 2.

As Moon St. and Woods St. are reconstructed during future construction phases, fencing location plans will be distributed to the campus community before construction begins.
