Happenings: Study Abroad Fair

World of opportunity at the
study abroad fair

Study abroad opportunities are a great way to see the world.

Studying abroad is a great way to see the world.

Texas State professors don’t encourage daydreaming during class, but they do encourage you to take a class that feels like a dream come true.

Each semester, Texas State professors teach credit courses in far-off locales that enhance the learning experience. Philosophy in India, agriculture in England, art in Italy – these are just some of the options  available. The Study Abroad Fair brings information about all these opportunities to one location so you can learn about the numerous once-in-a-lifetime study options available to you.

In addition to Texas State classes, the Study Abroad Fair will introduce you to a wide range of study, work, internship and volunteer opportunities. GlobaLinks, ISA (International Studies Abroad) and USAC  (United Studies Abroad Consortium) are among the Texas State-affiliated programs that will be on hand during the fair to answer your questions.

Financial aid is available for all qualified students participating in
Texas State and affiliated programs. Texas State also has a scholarship
designated specifically to help Bobcats get out and see the world through
study abroad programs. Those who qualify for the International Education Fee Scholarship could receive anywhere from $750 to $3,500 toward their study abroad program.

Need a little inspiration? Read a post about April Correa, who studied abroad last summer. Then head out to the Study Abroad Fair this Wednesday, February 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the LBJSC Ballroom.

Bon voyage!
