MR Fest takes the local stage
with Texas State’s KTSW 89.9

Every year in April, the San Marcos Square comes alive with the sound of jangling guitars, frantic drumbeats and the shouts of frenzied fans. My Radio Fest — also known as MR Fest — takes the stage once again April 26-28.
MR Fest, a 3-day music, comedy and arts festival now in its fifth year, is sponsored by KTSW 89.9, Texas State’s “Other Side of Radio” station. With 14 venues, 98 artists, a market place and an artist’s village, this year’s MR Fest promises to be bigger than ever before. Continue reading

KTSW’s Bookstore Blowout
amps up back-to-school Bobcats

KTSW 89.9 FM, Texas State’s “the other side of radio” station, is hosting the semester-opening “Bookstore Blowout” today from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with live music and giveaways at the University Bookstore in the LBJ Student Center.
Students that are shopping for textbooks — or stopping by on the way to class — can grab free CDs and posters while listening to live performances, and have the chance to win tickets for upcoming shows hosted by KTSW.
The event features performances by local artists Hunter Jackson, Joe Rice, Ben Zuniga, Halleyuna Finlay, David Booth, Betsy Phillips and Colin Colby.
